Home ownership is great, you have a stable place to live and bring up your family with local schools and make friends with neighbours. You can work on your property to improve its value and enjoy your hard work in the garden or other improvements. But sometimes life throws as challenges and it's not all plain sailing.

 

Managing your mortgage and finances can be hard in uncertain times like the last 2 years with Covid. Job loss or sickness can affect your income and ability to pay your debts. It's important that if you know things are getting bad to take action earlier rather than later. 

 

In most cases you can apply for Financial Hardship 

with your bank or lender, they have systems in place to help you before things get dire.  

You may be able to revert your loan to interest only or have your payment deferred for a few months.

 

Whatever you do - do not stick you head in the sand and hope it will all go away.

Each persons financial situation is different - we want to get to know your story. We will listen so we can fully understand your situation, that way can advise you best on how to solve and put you in a better financial position.

Mortgage Assessment

Once we analyse your situation then we can advise you on your options.

If you are behind on your mortgage repayments then the bank/lender may be able to assist with;

1. Reverting your loan to interest only for a few months. 

2. Deferring your repayments for a few months.

3. Refinance the arrears within your existing loan.

 

However if you have got to the point where the bank is selling your home then generally to stop a mortgagee sale we have 3 options. 

1. The bank allows you to pay the loan arrears.

2. The bank requires a full refinance. 

3. You still need to sell but without the stigma of a mortgagee auction.

We will be straight up and tell you if we can help or you have a chance - not all situations can be helped. It depends on how much equity you have, how much time until the auction date, are you willing to to work with the lender.

If we can help then you complete an Secure Online Application with supporting documents. We then assess and submit your application to the lenders for approval.

Find you the right lender

We have over 27 lenders we work with that may be able to help. We have developed trusted relationships over years of working with these lenders. Each lender has a slightly different lending policy so we need to find the right one for you.

Stop your Mortgagee Sale

Once we find the right lender for you and you accept their terms and conditions - we can stop your mortgagee sale. With the help of your solicitor the bank will normally defer the auction until settlement.
